Me!

Do I need to book a ticket in advance? I hadn't thought about this. I have no idea whether this sort of concert sells out???

I hope to be going, but being on single-parent duty means I'll be bringing a small person along (her first grown-up concert in fact) so no hanging around in pubs for me... (again!)

I'm really going to try and be there, but I'm not 100% sure if I can at the mo.

DB, unless I've got completely the wrong end of the stick,  it's St Martin-in-the-Fields, Four Seasons, Friday evening.

Is that right, Tommo? Strina? Tinners? Anyone?

I think that's right, yes Mort.
I'm certainly going to try to be there, but it'll be tight...

Sadly, it'll be several moons before the Dough sets foot south of St Andrews, let alone the Border.

In any case, he has a prior engagement with a young lady celebrated for a different (though possibly complementary) technique to Janine's.

?? Where, when? what?

Viva Vivaldi, St-Martin-in-the-Fields, 7.30pm Friday 14 March 2008.

Vivaldi Four Seasons
Vivaldi Gloria

Brandenburg Sinfonietta

Right then.  Executive Decision.  Meet in the Crypt in the Interval.  That means Member Barrett doesn't have to worry about pubs.  And Mort will feel at home....

Tommo

One of these days one of you will have a gig on a date when I'm not already committed to doing something else  Cry

Wow, I'm so touched that all of you are planning to come!  Although the way practising is going at the moment, I'm dreading anyone showing up at all...

I'll try to swing by the Crypt myself in the interval (if nothing else I'll probably be in the inevitable loo queue - they haven't finished the new backstage ones yet).  Not having met any of you in person yet, I'm not sure if I'll recognise you - unless everyone can get their eyes to glow:

Richard, I'm honoured to be your small person's first grown-up concert.  I hope it doesn't put her off for life.

Tinners, I doubt it'll completely sell out, but the 4 Seasons is a popular programme and if you can only get a no-view seat you won't be able to recognise me in the interval!  It can't hurt to book; info here:
http://www.stmartin-in-the-fields.org/jserv/concerts/index.jsp#schedule
note, concessions only seem to available for tickets bought in person or over the phone - not on line.

Martle, I'll be sure to take an extra-long tuning break between Spring and Summer in case of extra tightness!

Everyone: don't be put off by all the scaffolding still covering the church - it is open.  And for anyone who wants to decamp to the pub afterwards, I suspect I'll be quite thirsty once the proceedings are finished.  I'll have some "real life" friends there too, and we'll probably head for the Harp on Chandos Place.

I look forward to meeting you all.  And thanks for your support - it means a lot to me!   Kiss

Oh, that's not fair.  You're even going to my favourite pub without me Sad

Hi strina,

I really want to come on Friday, but I have a research committee meeting at the college in the afternoon, after which I'll get the first train I can back from Totnes to London. Thus I'm not sure what time I'll get back; will try my best, but supposing I am back too late, would it be considered unutterably rude if I was still to come along for drinks afterwards (really want to meet you)?
