As far as I can see no actual day has been mentioned yet, only the week. There must be a day that week which has a cr@p Prom.
There really isn't!  I consider Wednesday missable, but others certainly wouldn't - and one day off the Proms in the midst of a full week is a day at home to be cherished...

I just thought I'd ask. What do the less committed Prommers think about meeting up on the Thursday evening?

So, that's The George, Thursday 11th, 7 o'clock onwards? Any new London-based Members or those that might be passing through The Smoke, that might fancy wandering along would be more than welcome. Here's a helpful link ...

We are planing to be in the foothills of the Bavarian side of the Alps, that evening.  I will raise whatever I have in my glass, and toast you all.

Sancho's indefatigable quest for remotely characterful German red wine, carried out over a number of years, may have petered out, and we may be drinking beer, untypically for us.

I'm afraid I shall be in the Capital of Europe.  But I shall raise a glass (or a possibly even a waffle) in salutation.

Having no particularly urgent desire to hear a piece by Matthias Pintscher I think I shall be there. (It's the anniversary of the day I got my Masters funding, among other things.)
