Fisher's Boarding-House (prop. P Grainger)

We regret to inform guests that rising costs have forced us to make the following changes to their itinenary:

The trip to see Handel in the Strand will now be diverted to Peckham High Street.

Tonight's outing to see Swan Lake at Sadler's Wells will be replaced by an imaginary ballet to be held in the TV room.

Entrance to the Widow's Party will now be subject to a £5 surcharge.

The Country Gardens excursion will now consist of a visit to No 42's window box.

Cheesy

As wonderful as the concert was, I was really rather grateful to be home by 00:30 as usual, especially midweek!

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)
