In fairness to Rowling, I don't think becoming a single mother was ever part of her life game-plan. But her experience may have given her a somewhat skewed perspective on the single parent issue.......just as Nelson Mandela's experience in South Africa gave him a somewhat skewed impression of the IRA.

Mandela had a record of giving vocal support to organisations that he believed were fighting against tyranny - and that included the IRA.
