Era solo un mio sospetto

I have just received my niece's thank you note.  She writes:

Dear X

Thank you so much for taking me to Madam Butterfly last weekend - I really enjoyed the atmosphere and experience.  I thought the staging and aesthetics were incredible and it was amazing to see such an intense and moving production.

Lot of love

How nice to see the civilised custom of writing thankyou notes has not completely died out.

Yes, it is wonderful, bless her.  She could have emailed me, but didn't.

It is no doubt due to the eminently civilizing effect of three years' higher education at the University of Sussex, and the quaint old world charm of its historic seaside location.

Ah yes. That certainly would explain it.  Grin

I have just completed the "Which operatic heroine are you" questionaire on operacat's web page.

Mind you I had to guess, as it clearly presupposed the users are female.

I came  out as Madama Butterfly!

Never, never, never.

Of course I am really the heroine of Les Carmelites, come to think of it.

I suppose it was answering "sushi" to what food I preferred, but as there was no pasta dishes on offer, it had to be.

I also answered "How do you like your men" according to fantasy, rather than realistic preference.
