I know that you are not there anymore and probably in London area. And I am not gifted with analytical powers, nor do I try to find out information. I can forget information, but I am not so good at getting it.

Exactly. But, in Manchester I am very well known as a teacher of secondary music, a violinist, leader of orchestras, conductor, accompanist, performer, chamber music first violinist. But you wouldn't even find me there as I came to London (much bigger place) and changed my name !!!!!! A

Thank you for that considered advice. It's not just stalkers that we should be aware of (though I think it's probably safe and important to say that stalkers do exist and that is why we're all careful about what we reveal and what we don't here). This forum is publicly visible and therefore everything that we type potentially alters how others see both us and these boards as a whole.

I have a dangerous looking mole in the middle of my back which I have to keep close tabs on. If it changes color or grows larger or has a hair follicle in it, I'm instructed to see my dermatologist.

If it changes color or grows larger or has a hair follicle in it I hadn't been aware that hair follicles made a difference (delves anxiously around for hairy moles).

I stand corrected, a famous ballerina has just advised me they do exist but I think, as music nerds, and not pretty ballerinas, we could be safe, phew, a lot to be said for being a short balding guy ( that's me harmony, not you ). Stalkers do exist! I was stalked for years but he was kept at bay by my husband. When I was widowed I was very worried that it would all start again and I did receive two very nasty letters within the following five years, which I ignored. My sons are on guard for me should there be any more trouble. One of the letters I received was mocking my widowed state, as in "It's not very nice to have someone you love snatched away from you is it? Are you very miserable? Just think what you are missing".
I had had my phone number changed to ex-directory/withheld. Unfortunately due to BT Broadband having completely cocked up my account, I'm now back in the phone book although on a different number. Very worrying. I hope he's given up. I haven't heard anything for a couple of years thank god.
So don't say that stalkers don't exist - they do and they're very very upsetting.
