Only just logged on and seen the state of play. Phew. I`m glad that peace appears to have descended and that we are not going to lose either A or Baz. I`m obviously a bit late to confirm that, of course, they are two different people, but I`ll do it anyway! Btw, Baz wears pink with great sartorial elegance, doesn`t he A? `specially The Pink Suit. Whoops, that`ll be his first grump of the day!

Yes, it will. Well said, everybody. Back to Grumping. It's been fantastic weather all week, I've been working hard and today is the day I was going to go out and do something fun. And? IT'S COLD, WINDY AND WET. Monopoly, anyone?

I'm glad to hear/see that calm and common sense is returning. I value your contributions here most highly, as do, I am sure, many others some of whom only read and do not post.
Keep posting t-p, A and Baz! The boards will be all the richer for your contributions.

Monopoly, anyone?
Time for my grump - Monopoly, instrument for the indoctrination of hegemonic ideologies into the young, attempting to make them into budding capitalists before they even know what the term means Could there be a socialist alternative, where the players come together and create peoples' communes at the locations in question, or build council houses and leisure centres there, and where at the stations, one goes to branch meetings of the National Union of Railwaymen (renamed Railway People)? And instead of buying shares in the electrical company or water works, one can cast a vote in favour of their renationalisation? Or how about playing 'Pass Out' instead?

I used to LOVE playing Monopoly when I was young, and look what happened to me. What's "Pass Out" anyway?
