I have downloaded Spyware Doctor, Ian, and it picked it up but I still can't remove it and now Spyware Doctor is malfunctioning as well.

Why does this not surprise me? The new sofa covers arrived this morning. The wrong colour. They should have been this, but they're more like this. Bugler bugler! Back to Wales they go ....

Thats always a nuissance Mort. Bad luck.
At work, my supervisor hasnt been around since last friday evening! She was supposed to be in on Saturday morning but didnt turn up. I then asked my line manager about the situation and all he said was 'the situation will be resolved shortly'. I mean I dont mind not being told the actual reason, for confidentiality etc, but some clearer answer would've been better, surely?

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Thanks She was indeed working up to the end - she was in her office two days before, checking artwork on some season posters. I'm afraid I had to Google poor old Odstrcil, and Wiki has nothing on him at all. What's his stuff like? I am always a sucker for new stuff, although much of it ends up on my "for-staging-when-a-true-philanthropist-is-found" list Hi Reiner, sorry its taken a while to get back to you. I heard Ostrcil's Impromptu Op. 13-Prague Phil/Rozhdestvensky (good to know he's still at it). Stylistically I thought of Schrecker but a bit less opulent-the piece sustains a long slow section very well and is more symphonic than the title suggests. That's all I know, except that the Czech mus info centre site says he was known to Suk and Novak. I have a feeling the rest of his stuff could be colourful and serviceable? Thanks for taking the time on this amid your other troubles, I hope salvage of those projects is on the agenda.

Lynn heard it and said it was just the sort of thing I would like but I was too slow in checking listen again. Oh well...

I can lend you an O level if it's any help... Gosh. I forgot to include my leaving-cert results. I'm not much bothered to. I don't think anyone really cares about such things in the jobs I've been applying for. As it is, my CV is about 2/3 of a page (very neatly formatted using this latex template (though I used the Helvetica font)). Hmm: to toss it in or to not toss it in: that is the question.

It always strikes me as a back-to-the-classroom moment when you're asked for a cv. The best interviews for me are conversations which see how experiences dovetail, see eye to eye . I got a puzzling, actually enraging bit of feedback today-after working my butt off willingly to cover for a colleague (there was no other way the work could be done), for whom we had agreement there were going to be difficulties, I was told my fee for my regular stuff would be cut to the extent of the hours I spent on the other matter. I could not quite believe I was hearing this. maybe they had a bad day, but that was no way to express it to anyone (my position is the general precedent rather than ego)

Well honestly!! After having been told twice by BT that there would be no charge for my hub, a bill for £80 thumped through the letterbox this morning. The service isn't even operational yet! I haven't got the oopmph to challenge them about it today, it can wait until Monday. I am now led to the conclusion that communications companies specialise in employing complete plonkers

It just gets better and better doesn't it Mort! Unbelievable - yet frustratingly, all too believable. What would you do without this Grumpy Rant Room? Hope you receive profuse apologies on Monday... some hope! MJ
