opilec,

Forgive my ignorance but what on earth are `comfort breaks`? It sounds as though it`s an import from the USA vernacular to me.....

roslyn, I've been having problem accessing the site today - so looks like it's the site that's having the problems, not us.
That's a relief - I've just got wireless internet and I thought it might be a hardware problem.

Me too, and it was so frustrating because I've just got back online, after having my computer stolen, and was so longing to catch up!

Good to see you back!

Water under the bridge, from what I can make of it, hh.

Quite right, Bryn. After all, we wouldn`t want to `carp` on about it, would we? Grin Grin

Ah, in that case, I should make it clear that I was not intending to suggest that anyone dwelt beneath that bridge under which the water passed. Not like SS! to be so homophonically coy.

Re. the difficulty in accessing these boards. At least it wasn't just me claiming to experience the problems this time.

Damn it, opilec. The Flux Quartet can play Morton Feldman's SQ2 without 'comfort breaks'. I suggest those you refer too should seek the aid of catheterization. ;-)

I thought it was a string quartet?  Roll Eyes

A friend of mine tells the tale of an American visitor who asked on arrival if she could use the "bathroom". Friend says "the bathroom is through there, but I think I know what you need, it's through the next door. I wouldn't take a bath in it though."

Poor HH! Brown shoes?

It's not so bad once you get used to being up to your elbows in it. I find it's generally easier to get out of the carpet in the first few minutes. Embarrassed The bit I'm not looking forward to is tidying up all the emerging dog poo on the back grass before mowing. Honestly, if we could find a way to turn this stuff into money we'd have no worries.

Don't cats bury their poo in flowerbeds? Mine did.

Mary,

Visiting ones tend to poo on the grass, I find. Or do I mean I find their poo on the grass? Anyway moving on swiftly, mine avoid the grass but can cause havoc in their efforts to bury things in a discrete manner.  In the spirit of obstinance I am, again, replacing the pulmonaria. Sigh.

Ah, I wondered why that was.  My Mum always said that cats were supposed to bury their mess but in our old house, there was always cat poo in the garden from the neighbours cats (we never had a cat when i was a child), it's obviously a terratorial behaviour as it wasn't their area!

`it's obviously a terratorial behaviour as it wasn't their area!`

Same thing as dogs peeing on a lamp post. Although cats do that as well. And some humans come to think of it.

Might this be better behaved......?
