I think mine are quite pointed as well; I don't know my blood group though.

Gosh!! Just been checking the canines. Nope. They seem perfectly normal to me. That probably explains the passion for roast parsnips when there's a full moon then. That is interesting, I am blood group A+ (I am a donor) but I think I have sharp canines!! That is odd. English mother; father's family moved to Wales from England in late 19th century... Ouch! Blimey, you're right. Those canines are sharp. Right number? Did Duke Count?

HH, perhaps you could approach your neighbours and ASK them to what extent your music is audible? I've been in my current flat a year, and the only thinnish wall seems to be the one between my bedroom and that of my neighbour. I can't usually hear anything from him, but there was the occasion on which he forgot to switch his stereo off its alarm timer when he went away for a fortnight. I was not best pleased at being disturbed by the SAME loud rock music every day until he came back. He was however very apologetic and I have barely heard any noise come through from his flat since. He does play loud music in his living room, but I only know this because it's audible on our communal landing. I don't hear it from my place. I'd always been more conscious about potentially disturbing my upstairs neighbour, until a couple of weeks ago when he had a noisy party (I know this as I went to it!) and I found I couldn't hear it at all from my flat directly below. That made me realise that basically nobody would be able to hear me if I make noise in my flat. Since then I've not bothered with the headphones on my digital piano, and have resumed doing my singing practice when I get home from being out for the evening

Lots of classical music fans have sensitive hearing, while loud rock music people do not, i have always wondered if they play it loud as not sensitive or go deaf from playing it loud ?
Flats are odd things, the sound proofing either works or it does not, modern flats tend to be best but is very much 'try and see'.

Newbuilds are notorious for having paper-thin walls, while conversions are notorious for lack of soundproofing of floors and ceilings, especially where wood or laminate flooring is involved. Mine is a newbuild (2005) and, like every other flat in the building, has laminate flooring in the living room and entrance hall - and I think I've been very lucky with soundproofing, on the whole.

I think some law came in during the late 90s about insulation which results in flats being warmer and having more sound proofing than in the past. My flatmate is moving to winchester and i am not ready for the move onto the motorhome so looking for new digs, think i may go cheaper, and pretend to be a poor poet, while spending saved cash on going to see live music

Wouldn`t you rather pretend to be a good poet instead of a poor one, LB?

Ron, having read that I think it's a load of nonsense, but it would be interesting to find out from the veggies amongst us what blood group they are, which I guess is impossible unless folks are blood donors and know. On the subject of donors, I would urge people to put aside half an hour when the blood donation team is in town, you never know when you might need some. And you get a cup of tea and bikkies afterwards! I am barred from donating blood in my capacity as a homosexual, Anty.

I plucked up the courage to give blood a couple of years ago but they wouldn't take any once I'd admitted to having occasional palpitations.

I am barred from donating blood in my capacity as a homosexual, Anty. I used to get annoyed by this; but I haven't been so to quite the same extent recently. I probably have to give it a good think again. What exactly, do you know, are the salient regulations in the UK?

In Ireland, anyone who's had sex with a guy who's had sex with a guy ( up the bum) is banned. Not sure about the uk.

I don't think that as of yet musical interests have any bearing on one's eligibility to give blood.
