I'd put this in the Poetry Appreciation Thread if I could be bothered to transcribe the text.

Glad to see you're still dropping in, JP_V!

Those Capitol releases always looked very opulent when I was first collecting LPs in the early sixties, but were way outside my normal pocket-money bracket. As a matter of interest, where was that one pressed?

A Hawk and a Hacksaw - The Way the Wind Blows. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Hawk_and_a_Hacksaw

Recently saw them supporting Portishead and they were wonderful - full of energy.  This album doesn't quite do them justice unfortunately, lacking the big crack of the bass drum that had the entire crowd wanting to dance, but it still makes me smile.  Well worth seeing live.  Smiley

Yes, and that's an awful lot of cups of tea for Mrs BBM to make...

NS on the martle estate: Recent piano music by Dave Smith, on a CD that somehow just appeared on my stacks as if by magic...

Fine, elegant, highly distinctive stuff, beautifully performed by the composer hisself.
