#98 Daniel

Wicks is (are) quite correct. Just a clue from a cryptic crossword in my local evening paper and not (as far as I know) music related .

3. Beverage and winter equipment cover harad exhalation, reportedly.

Tchaikovsky? Tchai (Cha/tea) kov (Cough) sky (ski)

This is right IGI, but actually "Chai" is a beverage - Black tea and honey, I believe.

Cheers!

1. Hardly a small wait, we hear.

Berlioz?

(Btw, MT Wessel, when I said mine was a 'bad guess' for your clue, it might have looked a bit rude - sorry it wasn't meant to be.

...Anyway now I see that it was an utterly brilliant guess! Cheesy)

Lots of correct answers, so where are we....?

1. Hardly a small wait, we hear.  BERLIOZ  (Barely, oz)
2. Conflict constraint.  WARLOCK (War and Lock)
3. Beverage and winter equipment cover harsh exhalation, reportedly.  TCHAIKOVSKY (Chai and ski, with cough in the middle)
4. Board vehicle after a note.
5. Lithuim in God.  DELIUS  (Li in Deus)
6. We hear you changed to live in 5.  DELIBES (Delius with the "u" changed to "be")
7. 5's first rejected for a backward encore.
8. Weight in market.  MOZART (oz in Mart)
9. Yes, Spanish citizen backs up to spot.

So, just 4, 7, and 9 to get.
