Well done, t-p and John. Odd isn't it, how Tchaikovsky's piano pieces were titled The Seasons, when The Months would be more appropriate, or The Year, as in Fanny Mendelssohn's case?

Thanks IGI. Would not have got it without the clue. At one point I had been looking for fools and only found Puck  Roll Eyes (we had a fools connection a while back now I recall).

It's been a bit quiet here lately, so here's a new quartet to solve:

Dvorak
Meyerbeer
Korngold
Bax

Happy hunting!  Smiley

No - to offer a clue so early on would be quite out of character!!

That was fast. I was thinking to investigate Spring time possibility, but it is solved already.

Here we go on a new quiz. Five composers, five works, spot the link and identify the odd one out!

Prokofiev
Shostakovich
Barber
Copland
Stravinsky

True, Pim, but that's not the link. Once you spot the linked pieces, the odd one out by the fifth composer will be obvious. Three of the pieces are songs, btw.

I'm sure I didn't dream it, but Pim obviously had second thoughts about his odd one out!

Is it pieces with Jewish theme?
Copland has Vitebsk (Study on a Jewish Theme)
Schostakovich From Jewish Folk Poetry or Babi Yar (no 13)
Prokofiev Ouverture on Hebrew themes for strings
