All I'm getting with Granados is Goyescas (opera) and a whole lot of Majas in various states of misery (or not). Tra-la-la...

Rob C played the Maiden and The Nightingale from Goyescas some days ago.  So perhaps Maiden, or Nightingale?

'Legend' only makes me think of R-K's Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh, but I can hardly think that will be it.  Who else wrote about Kitezh?

Tommo, you're nearly there! The Granados is correct - now investigate the full title of the Rimsky!!  Wink

Glazunov – Karelian Legend
Stockhausen / Saint-Saėns
Korngold / Weill
Granados – The Maiden and the Nightingale

So that must mean the Stockhausen is "Invisible Choirs", right?

Correct! Rimsky-Korsakov's 'The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh and the Maiden Fevronia' (surely one of the longest opera titles?):

Glazunov = Karelian Legend
Stockhausen / Saint-Saėns = Invisible Choirs/ Une flūte invisible
Korngold / Weill = Die tote Stadt/ The Rise And Fall Of The City Of Mahagonny
Sibelius/ Schubert/ Granados = The Maiden in the Tower / Death and the Maiden/ The Maiden and the Nightingale

I was careful to state that the four words would lead you to another work.  Wink (Couldn't find another Kitezh!)
