My favourite RIMINI is Zandonai's, which I have on Cetra and Decca (the latter only highlights with Olivero and del Monaco on their FEDORA recording). I've heard of a live performance with Domingo and Kabaivanska: it should be something.

Is it Prometheus?
Beethoven - Creatures of Prometheus,
Liszt - Symphonic Poem - Prometheus
Johann Strauss II - (no idea, despite a google search)
Massenet - (no idea, despite a google search)

I'm probably wrong anyway!

Not Prometheus, Jonathan. In fact, no mythological connection at all.

Not Hungarian, but, as an aside, I'm sure Jonathan would be interested to know that Cziffra's Hungarian Rhapsodies arrived in the post this morning, so I shall give them a spin later on.

Indeed IGI - they are probably the maddest recordings available* and they are superb.  Enjoy!

* = Excepting Nyireghazi's recording of the 3rd which is completely bonkers... Shocked

As in 'Voices of Spring', 'Spring Song'?

No, there's not a seasonal connection at all.

Yes, and Beethoven's Spring Sonata for violin, but for the moment no other connections have occurred to me.
