Impressive work, the pair of you!

The Massenet and Beethoven both appear on this recommendable disc, which included a few back-up composers such as Rossini and Gounod:

Britten was on the subs' bench too, of course!  Cheesy

Liszt - Venezia e Napoli
Beethoven – Canzonetta veneziana
Johann Strauss II - Eine Nacht in Venedig
Massenet - Souvenir de Venise
Mendelssohn – Venezianisches Gondellied
Hahn - Venezia - Chansons en dialecte Vénetien

Tchaikovsky – Rococo Variations
Brahms – ‘Haydn’ Variations
J S Bach – Goldberg Variations
Rachmaninov – Variations on a theme of Corelli

Excellent, Tony and IGI, you have

Vaughan Williams - Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis?
Brahms – ‘Haydn’ Variations
Rachmaninov – Variations on a theme of Corelli
Tchaikovsky - Suite No.3 'Mozartiana'
Bach - Concerto for 4 harpsichords after Vivaldi
Beethoven - Diabelli Variations

I had Bach's Fugue a la Corelli, but the Vivaldi meets the connection (which is another composer named in a work)

so we're left with Billy Ternent / Jack Hylton

We're into a jazz arrangement, by Hylton's band, Ternent's arrangement.....

edit: hmmm maybe Vivaldi wasn't part of the title of Bach's harpsichord arrangement, well I'll give you it  Smiley

No, you need to look for a jazz composer's name in the title, and a recording made in 1933....

I can find an 'Ellingtonia' recorded by Jack Hylton in 1933, but no idea if Billy Ternent was involved.
