I have no idea where it came from, since the only one I actually had was The Rose Lake but it just seemed so plausible.

Sometimes, hh, a first hunch turns out to be a good one!

I'm sure Musical Connections fans would enjoy trying to identify Puzzles 73-75 in Syd's Repertoire Competition... Wink

Terry Riley
Henry Cowell
Leonardo Vinci
Antonio Salieri

There is a fifth composer in case you need them, but I don't think that this is at all tricky.

Not at all sure about this, but three of the composers have works which are usually known as operas by other composers...

Vinci - Semiramide
Salieri - Falstaff
Riley - Salome Dances for Peace

Sorry, been sackcloth and ashes elsewhere (that does sound a little bit like cockney rhyming slang).
No tigers (though that's a nice idea!) and the idea of the operas better known for being written by others is rather too complicated for me to have devised!
(The Tyger is a poem by Blake from Songs of Experience).

Is it time for my fifth composer?

Or bells? Is it a common word connection within the titles, hh? I take it we are looking for five musical compositions?
