How about:

Beethoven - Pastoral Symphony 4th Movement
Debussy - La Mer - Dialogue du vent et de la mer

IGI,

Countries of birth named in compositions?

Grieg - Norwegian Folk Songs

Dvorak - Bouquet of Czech Folk Songs

( Undecided although I imagine the composers in that list might be rather long ...)

Nothing to do with nationalities, Daniel. Have a fifth composer:

Tubin
Weiner
Dvorak
Grieg
Fibich

Nope. The Grieg isn't quite what you'd expect from a Norwegian, but I expect my final composer will give it away...

Tubin
Weiner
Dvorak
Grieg
Fibich
Bazzini

Tubin
Weiner
Dvorak
Grieg
Fibich
Bazzini

Yep. Antonio Bazzini, Italian violinist/composer, whose contribution should be the dead giveaway...  Wink

Right.  I think we're getting somewhere here:

Bazzini - Dance of the Goblins
Dvorak - The Water Goblin
Fibich - The Water Goblin

Not sure about Grieg, but if one can categorise trolls as equivalent to goblins, In the Hall of the Mountain King ?

That's a good start, pw, but the Grieg is not from Peer Gynt. I did suggest that the Grieg wouldn't be what you'd expect and those trolls can remain hidden for now!

pw,

Goblin in Norwegian would be "tusse" so we have a choice of two

In Grieg's Op. 72 Slåtter (fiddle tunes arranged for piano) part 14 is Tussebrurefæra på Vossevangen (don't ask me)

and there's also, without Opus no., something referred to as Tusseslått

The Op 72 is, I think, a Goblin's Wedding Procession at Vossevangen.  So if that's correct that leaves us with Tubin and Weiner ...
