Coates -  Covent Garden  or  Westminster
Butterworth - On the way to Kew

Any nearer than my asinine alliterative attempt?

Certainly nearer, although you're seeking a particular line, as it were... Wink

Poulenc – Babar the little elephant
Bartók – Bluebeard’s Castle
Schumann
Ketčlbey – ‘Appy ‘Ampstead
Rautavaara – Angel of Light
Coates
Butterworth

Well, Angel and Hampstead only appear on the Northern Line. Elephant & Castle's on that line too...  Hmm.

The Northern Line?

The correct Butterworth, Andy.  Cheesy

Poulenc – Babar the Little Elephant
Bartók – Bluebeard’s Castle
Schumann
Ketčlbey – ‘Appy ‘Ampstead
Rautavaara – Angel of Light
Coates – London Bridge
Butterworth - By the Banks of Green Willow

The Schumann isn't usually known by this subtitle, but it does include another station linked to Bank.

Schumann - Fantasia in C, Op 17 (Monument for Beethoven)?

(Really must go to bed now. This is doing nothing towards my secret plan of tricking Martle into overtaking me in the 'Time logged on' league table.)

Schumann - Fantasia in C, Op 17 (Monument for Beethoven)?

That's the one, George! The money from the sale of the music was to go to a fund to erect a monument to old Ludwig.

to hh, George, pw, Andy and Martin for cracking it in the end!  Smiley

Would we need to climb to find the answer, bbm?

Bartók - Hungarian Folksongs: Ha kimegyek arr' a magos tetöre (If I climb the rocky mountains)
Elgar – The Blue Mountains
Mussorgsky – Night on a Bare Mountain
Philip Sparke - Mountain Song

Here's a new teaser, then. It's a thematic connection you're looking for, not a common word link.

Vaughan Williams
Haydn
Misha Mengelberg
William Lawes

There're quite a few of these to come, if necessary:
