Meanwhile, on the rainy street outside, a shadowy figure dropped a smoldering cigarette stub, and crushed it underfoot. The lurker retreated further into the shadows as the man with the tousled hair and wild eyes hurried into the street brandishing a hatchet and ... what looked like a length of vacuum cleaner hose.
Oh well, no matter. There were more important things to concern the Brotherhood of Imhotep's Bed tonight. After so many years of searching, at last they had located The Mattress Of Certain Doom. Now, together with the Sheets of Terror, and the Pillowcases of Unspeakable Horror, they would once again be able to assemble the Holy Bed, open the doors to the Land of Nod once more, and summon forth the Mayor of the Night!

Vertical matresses are a very interesting idea. I well remember from the days when I used to get Bleep and Booster albums... that Bleep (the robot on the left) slept in a vertical mattress attached to the wall. Sorry that doesn't help to find Noel. Last time I saw him he was on a television programme about opening boxes with sums of money in them. |
