I couldn't decide if he was really taking himself seriously. Particularly when the radios wouldn't work. But I did think it was jolly sporting of the panel to slide the desk back.

To be honest, though, I think all this fuss about reclassifying duckweed is just a desperate ploy to sell newspapers.

I know they said that there wouldn`t be a problem over the Spam party-ball, but they were just waiting for their chance really.

Dawkins' The Blind Watchmaker.
Funnily enough, Richard, Tennstedt's Mahler 5 is just about unbeatable, IMO, for its sheer drive and propensity to induce thoughts of Lord Byron. Whereas Marx points out in chapter 28 of Das Kapital that during the feudal era, branding, flogging, enslavement, imprisonment, and execution were all acceptable forms of punishment for the crimes of begging and idleness. That's as may be; but I'm sure I read in Delia Smith that (ideally, of course) one should allow puff pastry at least 15 minutes to 'rest' after rolling and before baking it. So much for politics, eh?

It was that business with the ducks, you see. And the antimacassars. Mind you, I don`t suppose that cheese plant helped.

May I just say that those crab-claws with linguine were delicious...?
I'm going to be picking bits of shell out of the Bonsai for weeks now though.

And of course, it tastes ever so much better if you marinade it in soy-sauce, yoghurt, garlic and ginger overnight.

Personally I fail to see how some Co-Op savings stamps and a jar of Pan Yan pickle can have any relevance to piano lessons.
