PW - I don't know which George Benjamin piece was played, but there was a big fuss over Ringed by the Flat Horizon when it appeared. He was going to be the Next Big Thing. I'm not sure that this has happened.
Only just seen this. He did - sort of. Arguably in a more interesting way, in that he didn't become particularly famous but carried on writing some very good pieces*. He just slowed down a lot, that's all.

Into the Little Hill, based on a re-working of the Pied Piper story by Martin Crimp. That had its UK premiere in Birkenhead back in April as part of the Liverpool City of Culture celebrations, but it hasn't been recorded yet so I suppose you'd have to wait a bit to hear that one.
