You can't load pix here bbm, you have to upload them elsewhere and link to them - see http://r3ok.myforum365.com/index.php?topic=76.0 for help or quote someone else's post to see how they do it.

Wonder why that gull in the water isn't perching like his mates. There are 7 vacant posts!
Lovely pic Soundwave.

Here's the refurbished and recently re-opened Town Hall taken 20/10/07. I haven't been to any concerts there yet but I've heard mixed reactions from people who have. That sculpture/lump of scrap metal (depending on your viewpoint) in the foreground is the Iron Man.

More architecture in a similar style, this time part of the Council House, which is next door to the Town Hall. Also taken 20/10/07.

Somehow it is not quite as impressive as this one:

is not it.

The front entrance of the Council House. Built between 1874 and 1879, and designed by Yeoville Thomason, it is now a Grade II listed building. The front has a pediment showing Britannia receiving the manufacturers of Birmingham. The town argued long and hard whether the finished building should be called The Municipal Hall, Council House, or Guildhall. The total cost was £163,000.

 Sad Lump of scrap metal.

The architecture in all 3 pix is glorious.

By way of contrast to Saturday's pictures here are 3 I took yesterday (21/10) in Uffmoor Wood near Halesowen. I haven't been there for a very long time, for some reason, but must go again soon. Unfortunately I was forced to use my smaller camera since the better one is still away getting repaired.

It's not always the trees which give you some great autumnal colour. This was one of the best I found yesterday.

Might not look Autumnal but this was taken in my garden today

Not a real stream, but a feature that circulates water from the pond (also not real) but after 10 years it all looks and sounds natural. Frogs sit around here when it's raining, and a wider area further down the stream is where birds bathe.

Hmmm, from this angle the water does look flowing out unnaturally, I'll explain if anyone asks

Lovely to have a glimpse of your stream, John. Pity no photogenic frogs striking a pose for the camera.

Nice Autumnal pix Andy. Is the last one a bramble?

Indeed, it's not just leaves, berries and woodland that capture the spirit of autumn: up here on the Angus coast, the distant cacophony of honking that pressages the skeins of wild geese flying South is a sure sign that winter is on its way.... (Not a very neat formation chaps, though, is it?)
