Nice. As you say, though, they need a few tips from Group Captain Lionel Mandrake.

(I didn't take that photo by the way.)

Those learner geese, eh?  Grin

I suppose that I should post this on the Dream thread, but looking at the pic of the pool in Johns garden reminded me that last night I dreamt that I was talking to John and he was telling me that he had bought 5 new trees for his garden, but now he was worried that they would be too big. Picked up any new trees recently, John? Grin

No, I'm not a complete idiot. I'm only a halfwit. In fact I'm actually a catfish.

It's a volcano (Tarumae-san), which is part of a range of other volcanoes in the southern part of Hokkaido.

Here's another from a different place;

I like your black and white photos, Tantris. Baffled by the second - it's most intriguing with effect of the light  and its curious curves. Is it sand-blasted rock? It looks as though it's a close-up, though it might not be!

Hi MabelJane -- the second one is from a slot canyon in Arizona called Antelope Canyon and formed by water erosion of sandstone. (Hence they are dangerous places to hike into when it is raining). Although I do most of my photographs in black and white, the canyon walls are beautifully coloured;

Fabulous, Tantris. They are indeed beautifully coloured. Can you give me an idea of the scale please?

Hi again MJ. I suppose the first one is about 2 metres across, and the second about 3 metres from top to bottom. (I don't like the scale to be obvious from the image itself).

Morticia,  Grin

Subject of trees has not arisen, though my daughter always says put one at the back of the garden, but it would fail to compete with the neighbour's Leylandii. There's one monster at the corner but it stops them looking in our bedroom! I swear its roots will crack open the sewage pipe that runs our side of the fence  Shocked

Oh Morticia, did you hear my Gordon Brown accent in your dream?  Roll Eyes
