Nice one, Ron! I believe one of the snow leopards at Marwell goes by the name of Kyrill, which I find musically satisfying!

Just installed and had a first go with the GIMP free image editing programme. Steep learning curve but I actually read a little bit of the manual Nothing very complicated so far, just rotate, straighten, crop and adjust brightness/contrast - here's my first effort. New QE hospital under construction (click for larger version) One good thing about GIMP I've discovered is that it's included in the Ubuntu Linux distro - and I'm thinking of getting a Dell Ubuntu laptop some time soon so that would make GIMP worth learning.

Trees can also look very effective when there's hardly any light in the sky. (My second go with the GIMP). Taken in early December 2004 at Frankley Beeches - my fingers were numb by the time I'd finished shooting.

An abandoned chapel in South West Wales. Apparently it was still being used only a couple of years before I took this picture - given the chance, nature soon takes over!

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Lovely sunny day today, ideal for a few snaps so I went to Frankley Beeches. Here's Birmingham basking in the sun: and here's a couple taken on the edge of the wood: (click for larger versions)
