I noticed that the new camera can 'stitch' photos to make one panoramic spectacular....I thought this seemed the perfect subject!!

My camera does that as well IGI but I've never got round to trying it out. Nice pix of the Malvern Hills, I haven't been there for some years, makes me want to go again.

Those are really amazing pictures. I don't know how one can make such a wide angle.
The light are very good on the last one.

MJ - is it Alexandra Hall, at the northern-most end of the front at Aber? My mum spent a year there as a student, having been forced out of London because of the Blitz! Took her there just two years ago, for the first time in 60 years! She cried.  Cry

Beep! Repetition! Wink No, martle, it's the Old College where I used to go for a few of my lectures. The (now extinct  Cry) Music department was housed in a small building sandwiched in-between the Old College and the Theological College, where I lived for a couple of years (not studying Theology though!). I love the mosaic on the southern end of the Old College but haven't got any of my pix of that on the pc.

What an artistic set of posts! Nice trees, Tommo (looks like a nice warm kitchen, too).

Well, IGI, it looks as if that camera's exactly what you needed, doesn't it? There are some absolutely brilliant shots there: the fact that you're still getting to grips with the kit seems to have worried you not in the least. I'd guess we'll be seeing a whole lot more from you now! Wink

IGI, I particularly like the middle one of the tree pics. It`s great! I can see you`re having fun with the new camera. Which type is it? I`m seriously thinking of buying a digital camera now . Time I came into the 21st century I guess Roll Eyes

It depends what you want from a camera Mort, you can get a decent smaller one for a lot less than that. Several of the photos I've put on here have been taken with an Olympus mu 600, you can get a later version of this for £134, including a 1GB card: see here.
Cameras like this obviously have their limitations eg the lens is poorer and is only a 3x zoom, you only get auto exposure, but they're small enough to carry round with you most of the time - the best camera is no good if it's sitting at home when you see a good shot.

I'm surprised your aardvark's still smiling Andy what with all that holly up his nose!

Cheers, Ron. I'm really happy with the camera and impressed by how much better the photos are. I was surprised that it also affected how I looked at the landscapes around me on my walk! I shall have to explore it more, especially in different conditions, and take more opportunity to get out and about with it.  Smiley
