I do see a pattern of lines on the last one but they're not vertical, rather very much converging. Smiley

They're not on the original, John, nor are they showing up here following the cropping and sending via Flickr.

How about this one?

Same, and looking back at past photos.... darn, it must be my new monitor!!!!  Embarrassed

Ron,

resolution is at 1024 x 768

Tried increasing it but that changes the size of the screen image.... something else I should try?

It will change the size of the screen image, but it does seem low - mine's on 1680 x 1050....

Snap, Mort! Blue is not a particularly favourite colour of mine, but those are so rich and with the light bursting forth onto that sea, well...nice one, Ron!

Ron, I'm on the laptop now, same resolution, no vertical lines. So that HP monitor with the desktop seems to be the problem  Embarrassed

The lines are faint, but now I've noticed them, very annoying  Undecided

t-p,

The light here's like no other light: all I'm trying to do is capture what I see.

martle,

Funny you should say that, because I'm just wondering whether I should perhaps be thinking about doing professional members' publicity shots.

Ron,

Played around with screen resolution and found that increasing to just 1152 x 864 did NOT change screen size AND got rid of those pesky vertical 'lines'. My mother board was replaced last week so that may have shifted the resolution to minimum.

EVERYTHING is so much sharper on the screen now! Text seems smaller but sharper!!!! I can now read Ollie's mini-text without using quote  Cheesy

Really? Goodness gracious me.

(Since when is it mine though? Does no one else use that for whispering? I mean I'm happy to take the credit but only if it's fair...)
