The perennial question, mart.        In a 20th Century Fox musical, circa 1941, - black & white, of course - "Sun Valley Serenade", the Glenn Miller orchestra played the catchy "I Know Why and So Do You".

'Why do robins sing in December,
Long before the springtime is due.....

So why do I see rainbows
                     when I'm in your arms?
I know why and so do you."

A film which also featured 'Chattanooga Choo- Choo', (Harry Warren & Mack Gordon); The Nicholas Brothers & Dorothy Dandridge to override a daft plot, didn't need any reservations.    Roll Eyes

Why do fish have far more puns than any other life form? Especially when they're known for not even liking puns that much. Huh

It's their sole porpoise in life ( yeah, yeah, I know it's a mammal really )

Apologies, posted this before reading the LDHS welcome thread which puts this to shame !

Why am I reading this?
Why am I online at this hour?
 Why aren't I in bed?
Why am I always wishing I hadn't had so much to drink.

Why didn't my parents have more imagination when they called me...

Why, when the text is in German and therefore none of the words are recognised by its spell checker, does MS Word offer me grammatical advice? ("Fragment - consider revising")

Because it's MS Word and therefore everything except Amurkin English is confusing and unnecessary.

It's the "I don't know what any of this means but you've still got it wrong" implication that amuses...

Mort  Smiley

My profession rubbing off here. You can imagine the atmosphere when I tell a director what he has done wrong. Cheesy

Like the time my bro. had to explain that the "clean line" socket wasn't meant for the Hoover?

Or the time he had to replace a six-inch nail with a fuse of the correct rating?
