I've just tried Andy's Puzzle link and I get Quicktime again - the slider moves - but produces - Nothing - not a squeak!

Settings/Control Panel/Folder options/File types is what you want John.

I'm not the one with the problem Andy.

Anna, if you downlad a Puzzle clip go find it, do right-click and it should offer Open with and you can choose RealPlayer or WindowsMediaPlayer instead of Quicktime.

Sendspace is good here. Sometimes there's a volume problem. I can barely hear Andy's at full volume. Sydney of course solves everything by sending two versions, but that must be a hassle (?)

I'll turn the volume up a bit - it's taken from a live recording.

On the left - he nearly always finishes with minus a large number of points in QI on BBC TV.

None of the above so far on the singer front. I'll post an audio clue if no one's twigged in a day or so's time...

Another vote of approval for Sendspace, which always works perfectly here.

She is merely human is she and not bionic? The more I hear it the more astonishing she seems.

No she's not bionic. I do feel a bit guilty posting that amazing snippet now since if you do hear the rest of the disc it might seem a bit disappointing!

Bugger this for a game of soldiers.  Can some one actually tell me why my thingy won't do sendspace / what I am doing wrong, rather than just say it is fine for them?  (I would quite like to hear Ollie's singer).

For example, here is what I do for Puzzle 37.

1.  Click on A's link

2.  Firefox take me quit quickly to a sendspace page with a download link.  I click on that.

3.  I get the dowload question about "save" of "open with".  I choose "Save" and select the place I want it to go.

4.  My download manager box comes up and says 34KB of 54mb (or whatever the file size is), with 55.06 remaining (That's 55 minutes  and 6 seconds).

5.  I cancel in despair.

I don't sign in anywhere.  Should I?  What would make it quicker?

Why don't you want to "Open with" your media player?

I never save the thingies on my computer, otherwise it means they'll be there when I have long forgotten about them.
