Of course she came too, George. (  Embarrassed ) I'll post a photo at some point...

And yes, she's desporting herself on the bed as I write, demanding sweetmeats and cat comics.

I didn't mean literally deserting her all alone, Martle, Cry.  I just meant leaving her with alternative servants with a front door key to attend to her every need while you were away. Some of us neighbours love doing that, and have to pretend not to be too pleased by the cold shouldering that their owners receive get when they first return  Cheesy.

Oh I know you meant that, George!  Smiley I wouldn't actually take her away if she didn't seem to prefer the Wales abode more than the Brighton one, and wasn't able to take a 6-hour car journey in her stride, no basket/cage, happily sitting on the back seat, her tray on the floor (used wobbily along the M4), no fuss, no complaints.

Sorry - I guess this should be in the '9 cats prefer...' thread.  Cheesy

BTW, I'm trying to upload a pic of her wandering around a Welsh beach, but photobucket is acting up something rotten. Is it just me?

Pixie seemed to be imploring me to let her out into the back garden today. I kept telling her that she wouldn't like it as it was pouring down but she wouldn't believe me or the evidence of her own eyes.

It seems to be fairly quiet now, weatherwise. Monday's supposed to be dry - I don't believe it.

It is dry here today.
I am hoping to dry clothes on the line today. I like doing that.
I have to do all my chores quickly. I have to rest and practice.

Yesterday we had a beautiful bright day. There were so many people in town!!! I could not understand what happened.

Drip, drip, drip. Grey, grey, grey. That's about it, really.

Oh, what a lovely surprise! It's a beautiful sunny day here, not a cloud in the sky, I think I might do some sunbathing in the garden later on.

Oops, sorry, I was dreaming. That's what happens when you go to sleep with your glasses on. As you were.

A mix of sunshine and clouds here but no rain so far.  It did rain torrentially in the middle of the night but i only dimly recollect it because of the noise on the roof.  No idea what time that was though.
Hopefully it will be similar to yesterday which was good!

It's just grey and miserable today.
No rain this morning. Yet.
But it certainly isn't the sort of morning when you wake up and think 'Yes! I want to walk up Arthur's Seat!'.
So I didn't.

[Just in case anyone is perplexed by the mention of 'Arthur's Seat', it's the large hill - the remains of a core of a volcano, which dominates Edinburgh.]

This is about 1 1/2 miles away from me, a landslide.  Road totally closed of course.  Luckily we had no further rain overnight and flood waters are starting to recede.

Eek!
Glad to hear that the waters are retreating. Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
