We seem to be experiencing very different weather conditions up and down the country!

It has been gorgeous today, very warm with a nice sea breeze.  It got really hot mid-afternoon and it's just starting to cool down now.  The weather forecast is awful for the weekend, but so far we've had a great week altogether.  No rain all week.  My back garden is a real sun-trap and it was baking in there between 2 and 5 p.m.

And here was I thinking you were all basking under the same sun, munching your choc ices and ice lollies, and Ron tells me it's so cold he's on substantial hot meals and John's had the gas fire on.... Grin

We had rain through the night, rain through the morning, really cold wind,  and I went to work in a thin shirt and shivered all day.  Came back, it's so dark and really, really, cold so definitely need the fire on.  No salads for me tonight!  In fact I am going to indulge in an old comfort food recipe - ham, egg & chips!!

It was wet overnight down here, but not stormy. The day has been grey with the occasional light shower, but actually quite warm as well - a tad muggy. <warm salad? cold soup?>

We've just come back from our evening walk and we went with sunglasses and without coats.  It's still very warm here and the sun hasn't gone down yet.  It's all going to change tomorrow if the forecast is to be believed.  Sad

When in doubt, wash.

Sunny all day here, south of Manchester. Cool Haven't had rain for ages. Cool breeze today, very pleasant. But the garden's getting thirsty so I won't be complaining if we have showers tomorrow.

Looks like you'll probably have another dry day MJs. Rain in the south which is stretching up as far as Birmingham at the moment, quite grey and damp here.

Our mini-heatwave is sadly over.  Today is cool, grey and cloudy.  Back to normal then.  Roll Eyes

We've bucked the trend again, I see: it's been sunny and warm here until about an hour ago, although it's clouding over now.

It was grey and spitting here all day in Yorkshire but it might be brightening up slightly now.

Rain last night, rain this morning, very cold, dull and grey now.  We are promised heavy rain again tomorrow <sigh>  Central heating has gone back on at work, I have just had to put a fleece on.  (No jokes about sheep, please!)
