It's a mild night with a distinctive smokey smell in the air.  Undecided

Dark, humid, silent and eerily still. You can just feel a storm preparing to let rip any moment.

The South (particularly the South Coast) has severe weather warnings for today, thunderstorms included, I'm afraid.

It is not bad here at the moment. We have dark clouds. I like to go for a walk (not woke) later.

bbm,
I love your sense of humour, laughted until almost fell dawn.

I hope the concert in Royal Pavillion in Brighton will go ahead and will be successful.

It's like a thick, grey, humid, oven here.  We're not forecast rain but oh how I wish it would!  We need a thunderstorm to clear the air.  A very short one of course....

I was woken by a huge crack in the sky. My heart goes out to those millions of people in New Orleans who are being ordered to leave because of Hurricane Gustav, it must be hell.

Very good point, Rob, thank for raising it. just three years on from the last time - I really hope it changes course: better to have been evacuated for a false alarm than to have to come back to yet more destruction.

Thought it was too good to last, we've had dry weather for quite a few days, must be a record for this summer. Heavy showers 4cast 4 this afternoon. Oh well I've seen a bit of cricket recently, better find something else to do today Sad

I've just seen about New Orleans being evacuated, those poor people, we continually complain about the weather in the UK but we are lucky we don't have hurricanes to contend with.  Evidently it is stronger than Katrina was.

Grey, misty, and very, very, still here with light drizzle after rain overnight.  Can't see the hills or the church spire which means it's set in for the day.

Yeah, I heard something about that. I noticed that they were being quicker about it this time as well. i wonder whyQ?Q?Q?

Well, I should think my band job be cancelled due to the weather. I dont think I be going all the way from HH to brighton and coming back for nothing!!
