The txt should have said "Hadron Collider" Um. Oh hang on. It's 'd' then 'r' not the other way around. My image of Scientists in bunkers near Geneva is now completely turned on its head...... Tommo

As it happens I have myself visited that particular bunker and I didn't feel any of my own particles accelerating... maybe it's different when it's switched on.

It's raining . And raining, and raining. There are places that need rain, but WE DON'T. It's also very cold and windy.

I don't know why some people don't feel acceleration in that bunker. I certainly do feel it (and for some time now). I may be even in trouble with some of them for posting too much. I know this criticism is to be correct, so that is all right. Sorry, no students today.

You've been to CERN as well, have you?

We were talking about a bunker near Geneva. At least the rest of us were. (Which bunker were you talking about?) This is part of an installation on the Swiss-French border called CERN. This stands for Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire, as you'd be able to find out for yourself in a few seconds on your computer.

I just got back in and myself and dog are soaked through! It's a long time since I saw rain like this. I've managed to blot him with kitchen paper but I think I shall have to get changed..... The mains drains along the side of the road are beginning to flood already. Probably full of sand.

We have a Met Office warning for the South West and South Wales, a months rainfall in one day.
I went in search of Johannes the Goatherd, but to no avail. He met this bloke called Noah in the pub last week. Since then the sound of wood being sawn and nails hammered has echoed across the valley.
I did receive a txt from him which said "Ark"
Have we heard from Noah yet? [Edited to sort out quotation-box trauma]

Have we heard from Noah yet? Wales seems to be sinking. The Met Office said 50 mm of rain had fallen in the Valleys area between 10pm last night and noon today and a further 20mm of rain is expected to fall tomorrow. There are two severe flood warnings in South Wales (Taff & Rhymney Rivers) and a further 22 flood warnings and 30 flood watches, and there have been seven landslides in the Valleys. [Edited to sort out quotation-box trauma]

I'm beginning to find the rain alarming. It's rained all last night, all day, and at the moment it sounds heavier than ever. Will it ever stop? At least I can't see it now.

Mary just gather up two of everything in case. I've got two kids, one dog - but I'll nick one of the beagles from over the road. Hardly an ark-full but I'm working on it.

We is sinking in Wales Mary, and yet again it is tipping down, hence headphones and loud music to drown it out. South Wales Valleys are horrific and Bridgend is declared a major incident. My neighbour just knocked on door. We are about to be flooded
