A friend brought these round earlier this evening:

And very nice they are too! Shouldn't really be snacking on sugary things (dentist's orders) but under the circumstances ...

our breakfast coffee, muesli and orange juice?
Hmm. Mr Sudden and I seem to have similar tastes in breakfast (though mine has more fruit! Grin ).
I've been thinking today that coffee for breakfast rather than tea could have a useful effect on me first thing in the morning.  Shocked

I've got the munchies right now but don't have anything interesting in the house... now hang on. I think I've got some pistachios somewhere...

Which do you pour over the muesli, the coffee or the orange juice?  Grin

I have coffee (on its own) and muesli with yoghurt and fruit if I've got any.

Do we have a breakfast thread?  (Not related to the R3 programme.)

I think that this is it.
I mentioned breakfast last week in the middle of this snackage thread and it kind of took off.
I suppose noone can really face posting about breakfast in the burning thread.

I suppose few people actually cook breakfast these days, except maybe on weekends.  I sometimes but rarely rouse myself to make pancakes, or an omlette.

My temperamental toaster would sometimes put my breakfast in the burning thread.  I think my toaster is at least partly responsible for my switch to muesli in the mornings...

Must go dig out the good-night thread now!  Kiss

Just eaten two biscuits and 100g of salt and vinegar 'crunchy sticks'
Might have another biscuit now.
And a cup of tea.
Then I might think about dinner.

Another thread I've never seen before ... Where do they all come from? They're like the ladybirds.

Also, I just got back from Sainsbury's and it's made me wish I'd bought some custard creams. Or gingernuts. Like Mary, I like the fakeness of custard creams, but unlike her I'm not a jammy dodgers fan at all. My other favourites are gingernuts and Digestive biscuits (preferably plain), of any of which I can eat the best part of a packet in one sitting ...

Oh, wait. I bought some Eccles cakes, didn't I? Right, that'll be the four of them gone within the hour, I bet. Roll Eyes

Um, I'm feeling poor. And trying to finish some work that I haven't really got round to all week (I seem to be able to do one thing a day at the moment, which if I leave the house in the afternoon means not much happens in the morning, although that's not quite true, I have done a fair bit of tidying this week and dispatched several postal items that had been on the 'to do' list for a while). So I'm afraid I'm not going to make the Vivaldi concert, although if I'm very very good and manage to finish this work I may pop along for a drink later.

In the meantime, a cup of tea and a packet of Eccles cakes will do me nicely.

Mine are chocolate chip things. I've just moved the tin next to my computer which I fear is a bad move.

That's nothing compared to the 'saffron rock candy' I was given yesterday.

Nice, Mary!

Anyone else have a penchant for these? I was an addict at ages 7-9.
