Now don't panic GG. If you want I will check pulse and respiration.

I might even be persuaded to examine the noted tusks.

I am interested to note that a recent thread on Radio 4 re the invalidity "Blue Badge" Scheme has been closed after only 4 posts.  Odd.  The revised set-up for R3 MBs is very limiting and I'm a little surprised that the Music Matters board is only for discussing that programme.
Cheers

The Iain Burnside board in the other place has a thread about Auden which is entirely off topic, and no-one's moved it yet.  Smiley

Hello from the secret headquarters of the Uxbridge Mafia.

I've just checked my e-mail for the first time today and found FIVE mails from the BBC advising me that my postings had been removed because they broke house rules etc. Which is strange, because looking over at the new and disimproved boards it looks to me as if several THOUSAND of my posts have been removed.

Well, here I am in an office, better do some office-type work. Till later...

Blimey, Richard! What on earth did you do? How ridiculous. The Mods didn`t even bother to notify me when they pulled a posting of mine last week. Less than the dirt beneath their shoes, that`s me....... Bah.

Mort, I was just referring to the fact that every thread to which I've contributed (and all the others too of course) had vanished off the face of the earth when I visited the ruins this morning. I did get five e-mails from the BBC today though, on account of last night's waffling: one post about Hindemith entirely in Turkish (not mine, of course), one using an umlaut to allow me to post an otherwise disallowed rude word, one thread heading exploiting the 40-character feature in what I had hoped was an amusing if somewhat, er, cursive way, and... what WERE the other two? Well, it was a silly night. I think we finished things off with a nice flourish, but Anna was very unhappy. I hope you're feeling better today, Anna.

richard, they are slowly restoring the threads but say it will probably take 48 hours to upload the server.  I was unhappy yesterday due to being ill with a horrible cold/flu thing so I apologise for my grumpiness x

I think they have now re-assembled all 4715 threads of CMoR3 (back to Sept 2005) at:

 Huh

What is the BBC doing? Why do they feel it is necessary to hide the "deleted" MBs?

They're not hidden. Go to an old board as usual eg CMoR3 http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbradio3/F2620064 and you'll see it.

Oh pooh pooh plop, as my esteemed colleague Thompson would say. Royaty cheque in the post, Tommo Grin

I downloaded the magnificent result of the Labours of Kitty, but then got a message saying the file was `either invalid or corrupted`. Rats! Should I try again, but just load it straight onto disc?

Kitty, you are NOT a dork! You are a flippin` genius and I award you a further for Extraordinary Services to Waffle. I think only Tommo has one of them.

Dunno if anybody's interested but over on the "other boards" on the Tchaikovsky thread, they now have the video of the 1812 from the Imperial War Museum.  It didn't come over at all well on the radio as we all know, but it's much better to actually watch.

Charlie's wearing a suit and tie!!!!! I've never seen him do that before and very tasty he looks too!  Kiss
