Thank you Milly, I will try to look at the 1812.

The other board is so different!!! It is strange. I don't know if I will get used to it.

I do wonder how this is all going to pan out... Undecided

May be it will work. At least they are not against it.
The topics so far are restricted, but you can make a topic that you are interested in and see if they will allow that.

Hmmm, could be interesting Ollie. A little bit of Cowan leeway perhaps?

So far they haven't modded any of the threads for being off topic, perhaps it's not going to be too bad over there after all.  I must say mention of waffles has rather thrown me!

But topic for discussion are restricted. I don't think one can discuss for example Hatto business. Or can they? Undecided

If you read the board t-p you would see that Hatto is being discussed

Where Anna. I missed it because there is no thread Hatto. I am going to look. There is Hatto here on this board.

Thank you Ollie, I did not even noticed CD review. But still it is more restricted when they are watching. I feel like the big brother is watching on Breakfast board.

Things seem to be pulling in two different directions "over there". Possible hope for waffling from Mr Cowan....meanwhile on the Jazz bored Mr Improv's topic asking if KK is banned again has been hidden. Back on the plus side, excellent contributions on the "King Kenny I gotta say man"  thread from Alyn Shipton the programme maker. While on the minus side, the CD review, Burnside and MM boards have only very stilted "we would really like you to talk about this" offerings from the hosts / production teams.

Absolutely. I'm finding the 'may we suggest' stuff from hosts/presenters really offputting. Tom Service, who is no dumb-ass, has started a thread about 'is classical music dying' or something. I mean, how lazy can you get?! They've been told to 'generate discussion' I suppose. This is the way it's going there. Angry

Well, you could ask people outright to do your programming for you...  Shocked
