Personally I can't stand large spiders but the more you know about them the more fascinating they become.

Bet you knew this was coming up!

I have to say that he looks adorable. He wants to live too. I usually catch them with a sponge and throw them outside.
Lovely creature.

Don't mention the snake!!!! He speak with Four(ho-ho)ked Tongues.

But thank you for Mr Bear, A. Now I happen to know that an expert on Steiff bears, who has indeed lectured on the subject recently to a distinguished audience, is our very own Milly Jones!

Yes!  Anyone who has confronted a discerning audience of an assembly hall full of 4-7 year olds will appreciate how daunted our Milly was on the day.  They all seemed to enjoy it though, particularly because I took a rather large furry friend along with me.  I really don't know how I get into these scrapes....but you know how it is....the phone rings and before you know it, there you are giving talks to schoolchildren!  Grin

The spider here is just so adorable, light brown color and so soft. I like to look at him. Does it make me weird?

Have you seen Charlotte's Web?  We went last week.  You'd like the spider in that - she has a lovely voice and is very sweet and kind.  Smiley

It's a very famous children's story that has now been made into a film, with a little piglet like Babe as the co-star.  Charlotte of course, being the one with the web, is the star of the show and she spells little messages in silk in her web to save the piglet from being slaughtered.  Unfortunately Charlotte dies at the end but the children I took to see it were very good at comforting me and reassured me all the way home that "it was only a film - not real".  Seeing I was inconsolable, they were extra special kind.  Cry

I think children now days are very mature. In my day my mother would be comforting me. She could not read Red Ridinghood to the end as I was crying with fear that granny was eaten by the wolf. No amount of comforting would make me listen to the story.
I love to be with children. They understand everything.

Ho!  It's rather grey and wet here today.  Pretty cold as well.  Spring is on its way though. Yippee!
