I had a white humster once. He was cute and very nice, looked a little like this one. I am glad to see him again in his next incarnation on waffle thread.

Ho "A". A brilliant picture. Is it really George I've posted this elsewhere but I thought I'd also put it here. This Message from Sydney Grew has appeared in "the old place" concerning afternoon broadcasts (opera and the like). Personally, I find it disgusting:- "it makes no sense to me at all to have this in the middle of the working afternoon," complains a Member. ""We do not think that a cultural institution such as Radio Three ought to be ought to be making allowances for the exigencies of the system of paid labour or "wage slavery". The correct attitude is to assume at least that all the listeners are ladies and gentlemen of and at leisure. That is a further reason why we find the expression "drive time" so disagreeable.""

Ho A, Don't worry about Sydney, I've long ago given up listening to his (or her) views. He's clearly got some very odd ideas about things. Having a quiet morning sat infront of the PC here, typing emails to people I meant to email ages ago. Really making headway now so at least it feels like I've done something.

Ho Jonathan. I'm not worrying about Syd, just deciding if he is actually stuck in a time warp and is still in 1908. I am, though, a little surprised that hordes of "Members" haven't leapt at him . Like you, I tend to get behind with eee-males. You've inspired me to do something about the last half dozen. Cheers

Note that a certain Sydney Grew has also registered over here, after giving the new dispensation over there an embarrassingly enthusiastic welcome even before it happened.
Perhaps the rules of this MB should contain a clause against use of the royal we in postings.

I haven't noticed any of Syd's postings over here. He has always been very adamant that he doesn't like to chat. He has occasionally weakened on this - I remember some very impassioned threads on veganism and the odd personal conversation with one or two of us, but normally he likes to stick to the matters in hand. I've always assumed 'he' for some reason but I suppose he could be 'she'. Bryn used to call him "Pauline" at one time.

I think it has to be done via a link to a webpage (just click the 'image' button (second along on the second row) and insert the url between the 'img' and '/img'). But I don't know how you can make them smaller, other than by copying the image, processing it using some software for changing the size, then reposting it onto a webpage of your own.
