(sorry, couldn't resist after finding that one. There's also a Zambian artist of the same name)

What happens when you try it, Milly? It's very simple, really. Click that box under the Italics sign, copy in the url between the two things in square brackets, then it should work.

If it is any help Millie, I had terrible trouble then I realised that the simplest way ( and this had been pointed out by John!!) was

1. google a picture
2. click on it
3. click on 'larger picture' at the top
4 'cut' the long number in the http:// box.
5.control v it in the bit between the brackets on the 'insert image ' thingy at the top of here.. second from left on second line.

Any help?

Erm....I think so.  I'll try later.  I'm trying to clear the dining room for the decorators coming tomorrow and it's harder than I thought trying to find room elsewhere for more than 1000 books!

You have my sympathy Milly! When I moved here I felt lost before my books arrived. Then I had nowhere to put them. I finally got a bookshelf put up in the bedroom and the cats demolished it  Cry Angry Cry

It doesn't help that we are a family that collects books - can't resist free books if offered (and they sometimes are). The family library is immense and takes up a large amount of space in the cellar now. Mercifully most of my music library fits on an Adobe PDF CD-ROM.

But there are always more books coming ...  Shocked Run! Run while you can!

Try typing in your message again with the picture as you imagined it would work, then I can look at the quote and see what's wrong. Looking at the message as it stands, there is no indication for a pic there at all.

OK - try this. Go to the Google home page (www.google.co.uk ) first.

Then click on 'Images'

Then enter, say, "still life" into the search box and click to search

Then click on the first pic, the Cezanne picture, that appears.

What you will then get at the top is the 'Google Images' logo, then a small thumbnail of the pic, next to that you see the words 'See full-size image', click that. (that was what was meant by 'larger pic')

Then click on the URL in the box, and press CTRL-C to copy.

Then come back to your post here, and click on the image icon (second along in the second row). Then 'img' and '/img' will appear, both in square brackets. Make sure the cursor is between the two, then just press CTRL-V to copy that URL there.

Then you should have it.

I think you are genious in more ways than one Ian. If you could explain that to me, you could teach a deaf person to sing in tune.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. God bless you. There is an Irish saying sounds something like: May the wind blow only behind you or something. I love that Irish blessing, will post it if I will find it.
