Oh gosh! I didn't mean to have the whole membership reporting in with wolf sightings, positive or negative. But I have now replaced the previous portrait with the current one of him sitting by the fire - which I can see so presumably everyone else can. (Confirmation messages not required but thank you for your concern )

Eruanto is a translation of this member's real first name into Quenya. This is the one of the languages used by the Elves, and it was invented and developed over decades by the subcreator JRR Tolkien. My name itself means "Son of the creator", so when the name here is shortened to 'Eru', members address me in far too lofty terms -
In the beginning Eru, the One, who in the Elvish tongue is named Ilúvatar, made the Ainur of his thought; and they made a great Music before him.

What would you like us to call you, eruanto, then?
My Quenya is a bit rusty. I always saw myself as more of a hobbit. Or even a Ent.

What would you like us to call you, eruanto, then? Oh, Eru's fine, it's just it always amuses me whenever it pops up when I'm reading, is all. Anty, my avatar is Gollum/Sméagol from TLOTR films

Scales fall from eyes. I've often wondered. Quenya, of course.
I actually thought for a long time that you were called Euranto before I peered more closely. You can at least count yourself lucky that the shortening is Eru rather than Euro.

What's wrong with the Euro then George? I predict that by Christmas it will have achieved parity with the £ (thereby confirming how DUMB our politicians were not to take it up when it was worth only 50p ) Baz
