Lovely day here too. There is no rain yet.
What are going to bring from the shops? Is it something funny? Or is it something beautiful and colorful?
More happiness please, and smiles and laughter.

Yes, lovely, was out in the garden, fish in the pond looking for food (it's warm enough to be feeding them now).

Oh, and it's only 2 March and already there are adult frogs in the pond making love

That is the earliest I've seen them, normally about 15 March when they start.

So, frogs tell me the weather is mild.

My small pond has had an orgy of 18 frogs doing that for the last 4 weeks.  Today, the fruits of their labours are apparant.

And a small newt has joined in the party.

I like newts - but they don't half get a bad press in public houses.....  Smiley

My method is a bit drastic - I gave up work!  Well, I hadn't been happy there for several years, so when the chance of early retirement was offered I grabbed it with both hands!  So, no work and a sunny day?    Bliss!

A rubbish joke for Friday......

Several well-mannered herbs walk into a pub, but can never get served.  The barman always says "Thyme Gentlemen, please!"

They're almost as bad as slow-worms. Give them a swift half and they're legless lizards.

Not sure you bare right there t-p. I am retired, have been for a few years, and wow there is no competition as to which is best... grappling with school 'children' ( teenagers) all day long or spending time doing just what I want , without bells to tell me where to go and what to think .. bliss !!

I think A, your pictures describe happiness for me best of all. I like your choice of pictures.
I love to think: no bells, no children and doing what you want. (I am working from home though).
All the best to you and everyone here.

The only bells I ever cared for were the church bells just around the corner from where I used to live. Since then Sunday mornings have been pretty much just another morning.

Kitty, that reminds me of that ancient joke-

Old man --'Aren't the church bells sounding lovely this morning?'
2nd old man--'Pardon?'
Old man --'I said , aren't the church bells sounding lovely this morning?'
2nd old man --'Sorry , I can't hear you because of those darned church bells'

sorry  Roll Eyes I love church bells too !!
