It is so good to be part of nature. I love birds, animals, trees. To look outside and see it all is great.

This is so true. I spent part of this morning trying to dig out some ferns that were in the wrong place, in a flowerbed full of wild geraniums like these: There were so many bees buzzing round me that it was almost alarming - honey bees, several sorts of bumble bee - but it's good that they are there. From my position on the grass I could look up at the rest of the garden and see the sunlit foxgloves, poppies, valerian and love-in-a-mist, and it felt like an enchanted place.

I am still recovering from the end of the academic year. I still have many students coming for their lessons and I feel tired. We have rain today, but everything is fresh and summery. I love bumble bees. My student is playing a piece called Bee (grade II Associated Board). It is a study in fact, but they a good image and nice tune.

I took this photo a couple of summers ago. Bees love our teasels. There are sometimes several on one teasel head at once.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Bees also seem to love our Ceanothus (which Lynn wears as a hair adornment after crawling about under the bushes seeing how our wildlife corner is going on!)

I wish I could see your photo, Mabeljane! I was surprised how many different sorts of bees there were, rather too many at such close quarters. I think bumble bees are so appealing because they are fat and furry, like teddy bears.

I am happy tonight. I visited my friends and we had a good time. We discussed Russian politics, Irish politic and we just chatter. We had a mixed Russian-Irish company. I am so happy tonight.

Took this today in the car park at Halesowen Cricket Club's ground during the tea interval. (click on it to see a large version)

Wow, This is really good picture, Andy D. What is this tree? Do the flowers have a nice aromatic smell?

It's a wild rose, isn't it? Also known as a dog rose. See Schubert, Heidenröslein.. The hedges are full of them in country places at this time of year.
