Mary - I've now written about Albert Herring on the relevant thread in the Opera House. Sorry for the delay

Um. Not really sure what I'm doing here, didn't really expect to be here any time soon but I think I'm happy... How interesting! How long will it last?

September's one of the best months for photgraphs up here, but yesterday looked like a washout: then in the afternoon we had some sun, and I decided to see what I could find. The road to my favourite spot's been closed for eight weeks while they rebuild a weak bridge, so the detour takes a fair while longer. By the time I was half way there, it was pouring again, with looming leaden clouds and just an occasional gap through which poured shafts of light as rich as chardonnay. No point in turning back: time for a wee experiment or two perhaps.... (And yes, the clump apparently perched on that haybale are Ron's trees again.)
