Although it looks like typical English beechwood, it's actually tucked away in Scotland, between Carnoustie and Forfar. Walk for less than a mile and you can see the Cairngorms, a mile and a bit the other way and you're at a spot I've photographed regularly, (near to the village of Whigstreet, if you've a road atlas to hand).

Unfortunately the satellite image changes from high to low definition just south of Whigstreet so no chance of making out your wood.
Great pictures btw Ron. My better camera has been away since mid-August getting repaired. There's a small dead area in the image, only 2 pixels square but, as it was under guarantee, I decided to get it fixed. The first time it came back the fault was still there so I took it straight back in - that was a month ago and I'm still without it.
