Hello all,

I'm on my own tonight and so don't have anyone to tell this to at this late hour. But I just had to let someone know: 10 minutes ago, I finished writing the book that I've been working on for the past five years! Needless to say that I'm Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

I can't begin to say what a relief it is. I feel completely elated and very happy. I almost don't care if the book is any good or not. To finally have completed something that has been a part of my life for so long is an incredible feeling. Anyway, sorry for wittering on, but I'm just so happy!

Many congratulations, Ernani.

Er - what's your book about?

Thanks everyone  Cheesy

At the moment, my celebration consists of a cup of Horlicks, but come the weekend I'll be having something stronger! It's a book on sixteenth century theology and literature and will probably sink into deserved obscurity, but at the moment I'm too elated to care!

Night all  Cheesy

I think the book on theology and literature of 16th century sounds interesting. There is a lot of interest in early music now, University libraries want to have books like that. I think publishers want to send your book for endorcement.
In cases like this my other one always says: there is a buyer for everyproduct. Sometimes it takes time to find the publisher, but it is great that you already have a book.
I know a few people that are working on their books for significantly longer than 5 years and still have just one or two chapters. This is a cause to fetch smileys.

Bravo Ernani! Well done indeed and every reason to feel elated!

Come publication time, or before, do give us a few more hints on details and title.

Oh dear Andy. I'm planning to move to Birmingham in September...
I expect that the proximity to my girlfriend will more than make up for the chaos and over-crowding of Birmingham.

There's nothing wrong with Birmingham hh (well, no more so than any large city), but I have similar reasons to yours for wishing to be elsewhere. Listening to Bach's divine 2nd violin partita played by Viktoria Mullova - that's cheering me up.

Closing in on the 1000th post I see t-p!

Oh! I see!
I'm just hoping that I'll be able to afford to be within walking distance of Edgbaston when I do move.
Harborne or something... We'll have to see.

When I got in at 7:30 last night and began preparing dinner, I allowed myself a little thought about how things would be different if I lived in Birmingham... That made me happy with the thought that one day...
