Wheatsacks, eh? The ones I know are called Kirschkernkissen and as their name might suggest contain cherry stones.

I had custard at work the day before yesterday. But then I'm not currently married.

Which for the benefit of non-Germanists we should explain means 'cherry-stone cushions', not, erm, 'cherry-stone kisses' ...

When I was assistant manager in a record shop we used to have a silicone breast implant in the back office for moments of stress.

I should clarify that it wasn't actually connected to a lady, Kitty.

A former member of staff's sister had worked in a plastic surgery clinic.

Been to a fabulous concert by Exaudi in Greyfriars Kirk (funny how things come together like that isn't it?).
Christopher Fox was there and we caught up a little, and he introduced me to Peter Nelson.
Just come back to the flat to wash up after a very tasty grilled pork chop (it had been marinading all day [I'm going to get in trouble for confusing marinading with marinating, aren't I? I can't be bothered to look at the Pedantry Thread to check which one is correct] in herb de Provence, oil and garlic), and I think I'll just have some toast with marmite and perhaps a glass of wine. And then to bed.

hh, everything about that post makes me happy (especially Exaudi), perhaps with the exception of the marmite.  Smiley Undecided

I wouldn't put wine on my toast, hh or martle.

It does feel like a number of things are beginning to settle now.
I think I've successfully uncomplicated my personal life (though I'm left with the difficult task of rebuilding bridges with someone), have begun to get a grasp of musical life in the city, and I'm beginning to feel like I belong in the department.
Feeling like I should lock myself away if only for one evening (well, how about tomorrow?) just to get things done.
I'm singing (I think) in a concert on Friday in Durham (16th century (?) Christmas stuff) then driving down to my ex's parents' house (she's still in Zambia) on Saturday to pick up their old TV (and hopefully stop for lunch) then on to my parents' house, sing in an Advent carol service down there and then drive up to Durham on Monday, and get the train up here to get enough sleep to start another working week on Tuesday [I'm sorry but working weeks do not begin on Tuesday].
I'm exhausted just thinking about it. Maybe it's time for bed.

herb de Provence

A pedant writes (in the wrong thread) Don't you mean herbes?

Very glad you linked up with Peter N, he's a highly inspiring and pleasant person to know. (would be good if he wrote more music though!)

Where is this beautiful place? How can they build on a cliff? May be there are no storms in this place and they can build so close to the sea.
I love cactus on the forground too. Thank you for posting.
