There are blue and yellow ideas.
No, that's Messiaen, t-p!

Everyone is very happy tonight which is great!

I am too.  I'm just waiting for a batch of fairy cakes to finish baking for Comic Relief day tomorrow at school.  I know it's a bit late.......but I've been really busy.

Mmmmm they smell good!  Grin

Really enjoyed that interview with Harold Pinter whilst I was mixing.  Excellent!

That Stockhausen looks happy with different colours. Looks interesting, but difficult. I can see that colours used for different ideas. Red colour is for moving by thirds and then dotted rhythm. Green is a leap by six notes. There are blue and yellow ideas. I can see small divisions of ideas and a lot of dinamic marks.
Gordon Duck.
I was teaching this at 6pm tonight.
Sounds like t-p would have done a better job than me in enthusing students for the possibilities of the score.

I am happy tonight. Another week is gone. We have holliday St Patrick day on Monday because it came to Saturday, 17 March). As a result people have three days of drinking. It is very dangerous to drive and better to stay home.

I am  happy this evening, but tired. Who is happy tonight?

Dear t-p, I'm happy to be here reading your message - these messageboards always cheer me up. I hope you enjoy your long weekend. I know you're busy working with music but you must enjoy it too when you're not working. What do you enjoy playing? (You may have already told posters this but so far I haven't read it - and how can I possibly check over 1000 of your posts for the answer???!!!)

Good evening, happy people. This morning before going to work, I listened to a CD of Marin Marais, Pièces de Viole. Not everyone's cup of breakfast tea, maybe, but the beautiful, delicate timbre of the bass viol played by Jérôme Hantaï made an excellent start to my day. The experience has stayed with me all day.  Smiley

I love Marin Marais. I played a few of them with viola player once. I did not hear them on the real thing.

t-p, that picture appears inside my CD booklet, but in black and white, and much smaller. Thank you so much for posting the colour version. It looks marvellous.

The music is simple delicious.
