This new Mr Rude was featured on The News Quiz - not sure where to post the link - it made me chuckle but now it's annoying me!

Obviously the fact he has a French accent is causing some controversy...hmm methinks the original Mr Men are the best. I'm sure his Mr Rude wasn't French - he wore a top hat!

I heard that too MJ - I obviously have a really peurile sense of humour when it comes to silly noises, I was in stitches when I heard it (and the same is true on ISIHAC when they do silly noises on there)!

Off to have a laugh now...

Plus it's Sunday, the sun is shining, we've been out for a walk, I've done a bit of DIY and I'm going to put on an excellent CD of Godowsky in a minute.

I am hoping that this week will be a happy one for me, because last week was not so good.

I do hope you have a better week, BBM.

It's scarily cold here, but very beautiful, thick frost and wonderful crimson sunsets. What will not be so happy - my heating bills!

There's one of the most beautiful sunsets out here I've ever seen!  Probably be a nice day again tomorrow.  It was -4 here last night and I expect the same again, but it's all very beautiful indeed.  Cheesy

I was just about to ask of anyone else was having wonderful sunsets, Milly. Another astonishing one tonight.

I've just had an email from the marketing director of the Liverpool Phil, who is called Millicent Jones Cheesy Cheesy. Are you moonlighting?

I wish!  Now there's a job I'd have loved if I'd had more time!  Smiley

Had to double check this but I couldn't remember a Mr Rude. Turns out that Roger didn't write (hm?) Mr Rude at all but it was his son Adam what did.
Don't know if my parents were Mr Men purists but we only had the original books. And not all of them at that.

Nice, Ron. Where does that railway line run between?

Ah! That would explain why I don't own a copy of Mr Rude. Mr Uppity wore a top hat too.

Years ago I used to enjoy reading Mr Chatterbox aloud at break-neck speed... Roll Eyes though I suppose it's not much sillier than performing G&S or Rossini patter!

It's the line to Aberdeen from Dundee, martle, so it's used by National Express*, Caledonian Sleeper and Cross-Country** services from south of the Border as well as by Scotrail trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Aberdeen Asda and Morrisons ship most of their freight by rail, too, so it's quite a busy line. (For hereabouts, at least.)

*, **: Until last December these services were run by GNER and Virgin XC respectively.

I meant to add - I love your sunset railway picture Ron. I found the light really quite eerie at about 5.30 this evening - getting dark but strangely bright.

The frost patterns were particularly beautiful on the car windows this morning - it was a shame to destroy them. I've just been reading about frost and I think those lovely starry flowery patterns were fern frost.
