I haven't got the little dewberry that you plug into the computer to download from the phone.  Must find out how to get one.  I'm also going to invest in a new digital camera so I'll find out how to download those too.  So far my sons have been doing it for me but I've decided that's lazy and I really must learn to do it myself.  It hasn't been high on the list of priorities but it's going to move up to the top forthwith.

There's one of the most beautiful sunsets out here I've ever seen!

Yes, it was fantastic here too!

When I see a sunset I often am amazed that people aren't running round screaming hysterically, pointing at the sky, so utterly mind-blowing and beyond description that they are. I pointed it out to a student I was with and all he said was, 'Oh my God, that's insane!', which I think expresses it perfectly.

Am I allowed to mention also that I have noticed that the gentle footsteps of George Garnett haven't been around for a while. Perhaps he is stashed away in a shed somewhere, eating custard, spinning some kicking sounds, writing an account of his peregrinations in cyberspace and how he left it when he tired of its whimsy, in which case (or any other) the jolliest of good luck to him.

There were some amazing colours in the sky at sunset in Brum too but the colours were fairly uniformly distributed so they don't appear all that dramatically in photos. I took a pic but it's not that wonderful.

Here's my pic though. The phone wires rather ruin it.

Hah, you should see the view from my window: all power cables.  I rather like their presence, though.

Might even take a snap should I remember some time during daylight hours.

The best views I've been getting recently have been of the winter sun streaming through the mist on the Thames.  The view from Southwark Bridge was stunning this lunchtime.  I really must start carrying my camera around - or perhaps get a camera phone, as I am due an upgrade anyway.

Happiness chez Ruth this afternoon is a result of getting through the online queue in only 10 minutes for Friends' Priority Booking at the Royal Opera House, and securing very good standing places for three shows for a grand total of only £27 Grin

Stunning sunset driving from Norwich down the A11 and on through Thetford forest on Sunday evening (although the very low sun did make driving a little interesting at times).  Didn't have chance to get any photos though.

Our cat is ok.  He went in for a tooth extraction yesterday and had a heart attack on the table.  They got him back and he is now home and, although tired, seems ok.
Thank God.

Jonathan, so glad to hear your beast is ok. I can imagine the worry. If, as they say, stroking an animal is supposed to be beneficial/healing for humans and beasts then. if he doesn't mind a bit of stroking at the moment, you can both help eachother! Hope so  Kiss

Oh, poor little cat! Glad he's feeling better.

My last cat had hardly any teeth by the time she was 18 (!), but she could still eat little cat biscuits. I think she ground them up with her gums Grin.

18 is pretty good going isn't it, Mary? My little wonderbeast is 8 this year, and showing signs of slowing/ fattening etc. Although she's still going out to try and duff up that ginger tom...
 Shocked

Good news, Jonathan!
