Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

Thanks all! In the interests of full disclosure, I should mention that this is how the little bruiser first greeted the world: Time for happy music making! Screw that - time for sleep first! Night all!

You are so lucky! I would have loved a little girl. My boys are wonderful of course, but a girl would also have been lovely. Miriam is gorgeous. Very best wishes to Mrs. trj who will also have had something of a tough but exhilarating day!

At every one of these [classical] concerts in England you will find rows of weary people who are there, not because they really like classical music, but because they think they ought to like it. (Shaw, Don Juan in Hell)

Miriam is lovely! HAPPY HAPPY ROOM indeed. Sleep well trj, whilst Mother and Baby are in hospital?
Erm, from the "bruiser photo", is that evidence of ventouse or forceps? Eitherway, it's done now. Best wishes to everyone.

Miriam (what a lovely old fashioned Biblical name,) is the first r30k baby I think. It was Miriam who hid Moses by the side of a river to evade the Pharaoh's order that newborn Hebrew boys be killed. How thrilling it is. I hope trj keeps us updated.
